Our Test Bulletins and Important Announcements include information regarding new test offerings, changes in test procedures, reference range changes, or modifications in specimen collection protocol and/or new specimen collection devices.
Effective immediately, ACL Laboratories has discontinued in-house testing for the following tests:
• BKV Quantitative by PCR (BKVQN)
• BKV Quantitative by PCR, Urine (UKVQN)
• CMV Quantitative by PCR (CMVQN)
• EBV Quantitative by PCR (EBVQN)
• Blood Viral Panel Quantitative by PCR (BVPQN)
The reagent needed for these assays is also used for COVID testing. The vendor has discontinued the supply of this reagent for non-COVID testing with no ETA for when our supplies will be reinstated. For the foreseeable future, all five assays will need to be sent to ARUP Laboratories and, as a result, the original orderable test codes will no longer be available in Advocate Aurora Health’s EMRs.
